Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. flour
3 tsp. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. vegetable shortening
Preparation

Sift together ingredients several times.
Dissolve one cake or package of yeast into 1/2 cup of lukewarm water.
Cut into dry ingredients the vegetable shortening.
Add buttermilk, water and yeast mixture. Work together until all flour is moistened.
Cover and refrigerate.
Use as needed.
Will keep for one week or longer.
To use, roll out on floured board 1/2-inch thick.
Cut for biscuits.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until brown.
