Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    shredded lettuce or spinach leaves
    1 small pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    sliced mushrooms (amount personal choice)
    small amount lemon juice
    lots of mayonnaise
    2 bunches chopped green onions
    1/2 chopped green pepper
    4 or 5 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    bacon bits (Hormel real bacon)
    1 pkg. Colby or Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Line bottom of salad bowl with shredded lettuce or spinach leaves.
    Layer remaining ingredients in order in which they are listed.
    Place in refrigerator and let set about 12 hours or overnight.
    Serves 10 to 12.
