Southern Buttermilk Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising corn meal mix
    1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 egg
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat an 8 or 10-inch iron skillet in 425\u00b0 oven or grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 425\u00b0.
    Makes 8 servings.
