Beef And "Tater" Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. breadcrumbs (soft)
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3 c. mashed potatoes (hot)
    1 c. American cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Pat meat into an 8-inch square baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Remove from oven; drain.
    Combine mashed potatoes and 3/4 cup cheese; spread on meat.
    Top with remainder of cheese. Bake for 20 minutes.
