Quick Company Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sweet milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. shortening or salad oil
Preparation
    Scald milk; add sugar and salt and stir well. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Add to cooled mixture. Then add flour; beat until smooth. Add egg, then add shortening. Add enough flour to make stiff dough (about 2 1/2 cups); knead on floured board until satiny. Shape into ball and place in greased bowl. Grease top of dough; cover and place in refrigerator. Will keep 3 to 4 days.
