Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. vanilla
3 eggs
walnuts
cherries

Preparation

Place in large pan and bring to a boil.
Cool very good.
Mix dry ingredients in raisin mixture.
Add one tablespoon vanilla. Beat eggs and add to mixture.
Add walnuts and cherries.
Bake in greased tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
