Ingredients

3 to 4 mild onions
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Cut onions in 1/4-inch slices and separate into rings.
Beat eggs in mixing bowl.
Stir in milk and salt.
Add small amounts of onion rings and stir around to coat them well.
Put flour in paper bag.
With fork, pick up small amounts of onions and drop them into bag.
Shake bag to coat onions evenly.
Fry a few onion rings at a time in frying basket in deep hot oil, about 2 minutes. Drain on paper towel.
