Smoked Turkey - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (10 to 12 lb.) turkey
3 stalks celery
2 medium onions
1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
Preparation

Prepare grill.
Soak hickory chips in water.
Clean and dry turkey inside and out.
Salt the cavity.
Stuff neck cavity with 1 stalk celery, broken into pieces to fit, and half an onion; fasten opening with turkey pins or sew with string.
Stuff the remaining celery and onion into body cavity.
Truss.
Bend wing tips to the back.
Cover with moist paper towels and refrigerate.
