Elderberry Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. elderberries
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    4 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Pour enough water in a pan to cover elderberries.
    Boil for 15 minutes.
    Add sugar; heat to boiling.
    Add vinegar.
    Thicken as you would for gravy (mix water and flour); make it thick.
    Stir in milk.
    Chill overnight.
