Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
    3/4 to 1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
    whipped topping
Preparation
    Cook sugar (amount depends on sweetness of berries), cornstarch and water over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
    Add gelatin.
    Cool slightly.
    Add salt.
    Arrange berries in baked pie shell.
    Pour glaze over berries or spoon it over berries.
    Chill several hours. Top with whipped topping to serve.
