Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. batter
    1/2 c. butter Crisco
    6 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add eggs one at a time. Continue mixing; add flavoring.
    Add baking powder to flour; add to mixture, mixing well.
    Then add milk.
    Bake for about an hour or until done on 325\u00b0 in greased and floured tube pan.
