Monterey Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    3/4 tsp. salt
    16 oz. can tomato sauce
    2 c. grated cheese
    4 c. taco flavored tortilla chips (if using plain or cheese flavored chips, use some chili powder)
Preparation
    Cook beef in skillet for 5 minutes or until done.
    Add onion, salt and tomato sauce.
    Simmer for about 5 minutes.
    If adding chili powder, do so now.
    Place about 3 cups chips in casserole and sprinkle with cheese.
    Pour meat sauce over that and top with remaining chips and cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
