Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 doz. tomatoes
    3 green peppers
    3 medium onions
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 level tsp. salt
    1 level Tbsp. each: ground cloves, nutmeg, ginger and allspice
Preparation
    Scald and peel the tomatoes.
    Cut them in small pieces and put with all the other ingredients into a saucepan.
    Cook very slowly for 3 hours and then bottle and seal.
