Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light Karo
    1/4 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, Karo
    and
    water
    to 220\u00b0.\tAdd peanuts and cook to 285\u00b0.
    Add
    soda
    and
    vanilla.\tStir
    until
    it turns golden brown (just
    before it stops foaming).
    Pour on a large buttered cookie sheet.
    Cool;
    turn out on wax paper and break into pieces.
