Gingerbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    5 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Combine together all dry ingredients except sugar and salt. Cream sugar, shortening and salt.
    Add egg, molasses and vinegar. Add dry ingredients; mix well.
    Chill about 3 hours.
    Roll to 1/8 inch on floured surface.
    Cut into shapes.
    Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
    Cool slightly, then remove from sheet.
