French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 1/2 c. warm water, divided
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. oil
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Sprinkle yeast over 1/2 cup warm water and let stand 5 minutes.
    Stir in buttermilk, 1 cup warm water, sugar, oil and salt.
    Add flour and mix well.
    Cover and let dough rise until doubled (1 1/2 to 2 hours).
