Ingredients

2 c. milk
3 beaten egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. half and half
Preparation

Thoroughly combine milk, egg yolks, salt and sugar.
Cook slowly in double boiler or heavy saucepan until mixture thickens and coats spoon.
Cool.
Add vanilla and half and half.
Pour into freezer cream can.
Freeze.
(Makes 1 1/2 quarts.)
