Pixy Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening, butter and sugar together.
    Add eggs, 2 at a time, beating after each addition.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Add flavoring.
    Beat thoroughly.
