Gourmet Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    3 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Measure rice, boiling water and salt into top of double boiler. Cook over rapidly boiling water until rice is tender, about 40 minutes.
    Stir in sweetened condensed milk, margarine and raisins. Cook, stirring frequently, over boiling water until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Serve warm or cold.
