Mama'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. raisins
3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. allspice
5 c. flour
2 c. applesauce

Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Slightly beat eggs; mix with sugar. Sift all the dry ingredients with the exception of soda.
Mix the soda with the applesauce.
Add raisins and nuts with the dry ingredients, then combine all together and beat well.
Bake for 1 hour at 265\u00b0.
