Beef And Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    2-1/2 c. tomatoes
    4 c. cabbage, shredded
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown the beef in the shortening.
    Add the onion and celery and cook 5 minutes.
    Add the tomatoes and salt and pepper to taste.
    Place half in a casserole dish and cover with half the cabbage.
    Add the remaining meat and cabbage.
    Top with bread crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
