Mama'S One Dish Meal - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 onion
    1 c. celery
    1/2 c. green pepper
    1 stick oleo
    1 c. rice
    2 c. water
    1 can tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Brown ground beef; saute onion, celery and pepper in oleo. Mix with beef; add rice, water, tomatoes and chili powder.
    Cover and cook on top of stove until rice is done.
    (You may need more water.)
    When done, add 1 can kidney beans.
    Heat.
    This can be put in casserole dish and topped with grated American cheese.
