Candied Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium sweet potatoes
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. water
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in water to cover until tender.
    Peel.
    Slice into baking dish.
    Blend sugars and flour.
    Stir in water; add butter, vanilla and nutmeg or cinnamon.
    Bring to a boil in saucepan.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, basting with syrup.
