Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. instant coffee
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    1 pt. whiskey
    1 vanilla bean
Preparation
    Thoroughly clean 2 medium sized glass bottles (preferably made of brown glass).
    Combine coffee, sugar and water.
    Heat until sugar is combined with other ingredients.
    Pour in whiskey and stir.
    Put 1/2 of the vanilla bean in each bottle.
    Add the cooled Kahlua and seal.
    Let stand in a cool, dark place for at least 30 days.
