Grandma Annie Kimmel'S Yellow Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. lemon extract or 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 c. milk
    6 large egg yolks
Preparation
    Sift flour and measure; sift again with baking powder and salt.
    Cream butter, sugar and extract until fluffy.
    Add eggs and beat milk alternately with dry ingredients.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Bake in well-greased tube pan for 1 hour or until pick comes clean in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Keeps very well and is super with fruit, ice cream or as a base for trifle.
