Corn Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. self-rising corn meal
1 1/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. oil or shortening
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Heat cast-iron skillet and sprinkle with about one teaspoon corn meal.
Mix together the corn meal, egg, milk and oil.
Stir until well blended.
Pour into skillet and bake 15 to 20 minutes.
