Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. nonfat milk
    1/3 c. short grain rice (such as pearl)
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    In a 9-inch square baking dish or a shallow 2 or 3-quart casserole dish, combine milk, rice, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Cover and bake in a 300\u00b0 oven until thick and light golden in color (about 3 hours), or bake pudding, uncovered, and an amber, caramel flavored skin will form on top.
    Serve pudding warm.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
