Special Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sliced mushrooms
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/4 c. flour
    1 c. light cream
    3/4 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    2 tsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    3 or 4 pkg. frozen French-cut green beans
    5 oz. sliced water chestnuts
    1/2 c. toasted almonds
Preparation
    Saute mushrooms and onion in butter.
    Add flour and cook until smooth.
    Add cream slowly, then add cheese and seasonings.
    Simmer until cheese melts.
