Beef Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef, cubed
    1 can broth
    2 c. flour (not sifted)
    2 Tbsp. shortening (may use oleo)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    2 medium potatoes
Preparation
    First cook beef and broth in a covered pan.
    (Use broth as part of liquid when cooking potatoes.)
    Mix shortening with flour and salt.
    Beat egg and add it to dry mixture.
    Add enough milk to make a soft dough easy to handle (not sticky).
    Roll out dough thin and cut into squares.
