Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter or oleo
    4 eggs, separated (add yolks, beat whites)
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1 c. milk
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together; add well-beaten egg yolks. Add mashed potatoes, then add milk and dry ingredients alternately.
    Beat egg whites until very stiff and fold into mixture carefully.
    Pour into three (9-inch) cake pans, greased and floured.
    Bake 20 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Frost with your favorite chocolate icing.
