Friend Pat'S Swedish Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. ground sausage
    1/2 c. rice, soaked (raw)
    1 onion
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
    1 tsp. salt or more to taste
    1/3 cube butter
    1 (12 oz.) can chopped tomatoes, drained
    cinnamon to taste (1/2 tsp.)
    2 heads cabbage
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except cabbage.
    Boil cabbage until leaves are soft enough to separate from cabbage head.
    Cut out hard stem from leaf.
    Put stuffing in cabbage leaf and roll; secure with toothpicks.
    Sprinkle each layer with cinnamon and lemon juice. Pour 1 large can of tomato juice plus juice from the can of tomatoes over cabbage rolls.
    Cook slowly in oven for 2 hours. These can be frozen for later use.
