Candy Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. apple juice (unsweetened), divided
    1/3 c. cinnamon candies (about 15 hard candies)
    1/4 tsp. red food coloring
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 tart cooking apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (9-inch) graham cracker pie crust
    1 1/2 c. frozen whipped topping, thawed
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups apple juice, candies, food coloring, vanilla and apples.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer just until apples are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
