Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    6 egg yolks
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg yolks one at a time.
    Add flour, salt and soda alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Whip egg whites until foamy; fold in cake batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
