Stuffed Peppers Italiano - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 green bell peppers
    1 1/2 lb. chopped meat
    1 bag boiled white rice
    3 (16 oz.) cans Italian stewed tomatoes
    1 medium chopped onion
    1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
    seasoning to your taste
Preparation
    Cut small opening around stem on top of peppers.
    Rinse out seeds and place in pot.
    Boil to soften slightly.
    Meanwhile, mix chopped meat, boiled white rice, chopped onion, 1 1/2 cans Italian stewed tomatoes and seasoning.
    Drain and place peppers in baking dish.
    (Peppers can be stuffed, then cut 4 slits around each pepper.)
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours, draining frequently.
    Last 1/2 hour, pour remaining stewed tomatoes in dish covering peppers. Cook additional 10 to 15 minutes after spreading cheese on top so cheese can melt.
