Tom Thumb Bars - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 beaten eggs
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. coconut
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Cream the shortening, salt and brown sugar. Add the flour and blend.
Press into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
