Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    3 c. lime
    2 qt. vinegar
    6 tsp. salt
    4 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Combine lime in 2 gallons of water.
    Soak cucumbers in lime overnight (24 hours).
    Rinse in cool water changing every hour, 4 times.
    Combine vinegar, salt, sugar
    and pickling spice.
    Add cucumbers and allow to soak another 24 hours.
    Cook for 1 hour, pack in jars and heat seal.
