Irish Crowdie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    50 g/20 oz. medium oatmeal
    300 mi/1/2 pt. double cream or whipping cream
    25 g/1 oz. powdered sugar, sifted
    3 to 4 Tbsp. whiskey or rum
    225 g/8 oz. fresh raspberries
    few drops vanilla essence
Preparation
    Lightly toast oatmeal under the grill, turning frequently. Allow to cool.
    Whip cream until firm and frothy, but not stiff. Stir in powdered sugar, toasted oatmeal, whiskey (or rum), vanilla essence and most of the raspberries, reserving some for decoration.
