Refrigerator Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
    2 c. boiling water
    3 c. sugar
    1 heaping c. shortening
    5 tsp. soda
    5 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 qt. buttermilk
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    4 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
Preparation
    Mix water and 100% Bran; set aside.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, milk and 100% Bran mixture.
    Add dry ingredients all at once to mixture and All-Bran only until moist.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes in cupcake tins.
    Makes 1 gallon of mixture. Keeps for 6 to 7 weeks in refrigerator covered.
