Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ham, diced
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. chopped celery
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 (15 to 16 oz.) cans small red kidney beans
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/8 tsp. crushed chilies
    2 c. water
    2 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Saute ham, onion and celery in oil until onion is tender in medium saucepan.
    Add remaining ingredients except rice; bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
    Serve over cooked rice. Makes 6 servings.
