Souvlakia(Greek Skewered Steak) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. meat per person (steak, lamb, veal or pork)
    2 tomatoes, quartered
    1 onion, quartered or tiny whole onions
    1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch strips
    8 mushrooms, caps and stems separated
    salt and pepper to taste
    oregano
    1 lemon (juice only)
Preparation
    Cube meat into 1-inch pieces. Wash and prepare vegetables. Skewer each one in order:
    green pepper, mushroom stem, onion, meat, tomato and continue until skewer is 3/4 full.
    Cap with mushroom.
    Lay in a flat pan and sprinkle with the rest of the ingredients.
    Broil 5 minutes on one side. Turn and broil 4 minutes on the other side.
    Can serve on rice pilaf.
