Marinated Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. carrots
    1 large onion, sliced into rings
    1 green pepper, cut in thin strips
    1 c. sugar
    1 can tomato soup (10 1/2 oz.; undiluted)
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Wash and scrape carrots.
    Cut or slice 1/4 inch thick.
    Cook in boiling salted water; drain.
    Cool.
    Combine carrots with onion rings and green pepper in large bowl.
    Combine soup, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a good boil; stir.
    Pour hot mixture over vegetables.
    Cool.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
