Homemade Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    5 1/2 to 6 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Stir in sugar, salt and butter; cool.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add cooled milk mixture and 3 cups flour; stir until smooth.
    Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Put mixture on a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic.
    Add any additional flour, if necessary.
    Place mixture into a buttered bowl and butter top of dough.
    Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, approximately 1 hour.
    When ready, punch down dough.
    Let it rest for about 10 minutes.
