Easy Sauerbraten - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. roast
    3 to 4 bay leaves
    3/4 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    14 oz. catsup
    large onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. pickling spice
    30 gingersnaps
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in crock-pot.
    Add enough water to cover meat.
    Cook slow 6 to 8 hours.
    Remove meat; slice.
    Put gravy through food mill.
    Put meat back into gravy.
