Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/3 c. milk
    2 peeled apples, cut up
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 stick oleo
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix flour, shortening and milk.
    Roll out.
    Place apples down center of dough.
    Fold dough over.
    Cut in 1-inch thick slices. Place in buttered pan.
    Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil.
    Pour over dumplings.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
