German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. red potatoes
    1/4 lb. bacon
    1/8 c. onion flakes
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/4 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. water
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Boil, peel and dice potatoes.
    Fry bacon to crisp.
    Reserve fat to make dressing.
    Add bacon to potato.
    Mix remaining ingredients in bacon fat; cook until thick and glossy.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Makes six 1/2-cup servings.
