Deviled Short Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. beef short ribs
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. catsup
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. water
    1 small bay leaf
    1/2 c. dry red wine
    1 onion, sliced
Preparation
    Brown short ribs on all sides.
    Pour off excess fat.
    Combine all ingredients except onion and pour over browned ribs.
    Place sliced onion on top and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours or until fork-tender.
    Skim off fat before serving.
    If desired, thicken with flour.
