Cream Of Asparagus Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. asparagus
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    2 tsp. chopped onion
    1 c. half and half
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook asparagus in 2 cups boiling water until tender.
    Drain, reserving 1 cup of water.
    Put chicken broth, onion and reserved water in a pan and bring to a boil.
    Add the asparagus and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Put in blender and puree.
    Return to pan and add half and half, salt and pepper.
    Reheat.
