Popcorn Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. popped corn
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Keep corn hot and crisp in low oven.
Cook sugar, water, salt and corn syrup to very hard ball stage (250\u00b0).
Add vinegar and vanilla.
Cook to light crack stage (270\u00b0).
Color syrup red with food coloring.
Pour over popped corn; stir well to coat every kernel.
Now press sticky popcorn into an angel food cake pan.
Do not cram, just press down firmly.
When cake is cooled, remove from pan.
