Candied Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. whole dill pickles, drained (Heinz genuine dill pickles are best)
    3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
Preparation
    Cut pickles into 1/2-inch slices, then quarter.
    Return to jar.
    Cook sugar, vinegar and pickling spices to boiling; boil for 1 minute.
    Cool liquid slightly.
    Strain and pour over pickles. Store in refrigerator for one week.
