Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sour applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
raisins if desired

Preparation

Mix egg, sugar and shortening in a large bowl.
Add baking soda to applesauce, then add to mixture in bowl. Add remaining ingredients.
Mix thoroughly.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
